Park Gyeha, CEO of Dancheong Bakery, Donates 20 Million Won to Childcare Facilities

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 23rd that Park Gyeha (CEO of Mong Etoile Dancheong Bakery), a member of Gwangju 114th Honor Society, donated 20 million won to the 'Angel's Gift' project to help children in childcare facilities have a happy summer.

Honor member Park Gyeha is known to have supported the project to help children who are going through even more difficult times these days due to reduced volunteering and support amid COVID-19, after seeing the nationwide 'Korea Social Vaccine Sharing Campaign' in progress.

The donation ceremony was attended by Honor Society member Park Gyeha, Gwangju Community Chest of Korea Secretary-General Lee Seongdo, and Gwangju Child Welfare Association President Kim Yosep.

Last year, CEO Park also showed interest in child and youth welfare by participating in the 'Secret Santa' volunteer activity and supporting scholarships for children of North Korean defectors, continuously practicing sharing for the development of community welfare.

Meanwhile, the Honor Society is a group of high-value donors who have donated more than 100 million won, established by the Community Chest of Korea in December 2007. It was started to promote stable development of the social community through activation of individual donations and spreading a mature donation culture.

Membership is granted when a donation is pledged to be paid either as a lump sum or within five years. In Gwangju, starting with the first member joining in 2010, a total of 123 members have been leading the culture of sharing in the Gwangju area.
