[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] ScentOn, a fragrance marketing specialist company (CEO Yoo Jung-yeon), announced on the 23rd that it is showcasing fragrance marketing through the play "In the Garden We Loved," currently being performed at the S Theater in Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The play "In the Garden We Loved," which opened on the 22nd, is an adaptation of the play of the same name by French novelist Pascal Quignard, presented for the first time in Korea. It depicts the story of real-life musician Simion Fizz Cheney, who transcribed the sounds of birds, water, and wind in the rectory garden loved by his deceased wife.

ScentOn introduced fragrance marketing throughout the entire theater to enhance the audience's immersion in the play and help them remember the emotional impact of the performance for a long time.

The fresh garden scent, filled with vibrant afternoon sunlight, green leaves, and soft floral aromas, was richly diffused throughout the venue, creating an experience as if the audience were actually in the Anglican garden.

Utilizing scent diffusion technology refined over more than 20 years, ScentOn applied customized scent diffusion technicians who considered various factors such as the theater’s temperature, humidity, air conditioning, and airflow, gifting the audience with beautiful fragrances that allow them to cherish the emotions of the play for a long time.

The fragrance marketing conducted by ScentOn harmonized perfectly with the beautiful music of the performance, the sounds of nature, and the actors’ breathing, maximizing the stage direction and enabling the audience to feel the vividness of the play.

Yoo Jung-yeon, CEO of ScentOn, stated, "Fragrance marketing has already established itself as a marketing tool that satisfies the five senses by combining with various performances and exhibitions," adding, "Its role is growing in the performance and exhibition industries, which value diverse experiences, as it helps audiences feel the charm of content more vividly."

The play "In the Garden We Loved," featuring ScentOn’s fragrance marketing, can be seen at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts until July 4.
