SK Stoa Obtains Certification for Operating Stores with Hazardous Product Sales Blocking System

SK Stoa has become the first T-commerce company to receive the 'Hazardous Product Sales Blocking System Operation Store' certification from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] SK Stoa announced on the 23rd that it has become the first T-commerce company to receive the ‘Hazardous Product Sales Blocking System Operation Store’ certification from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will actively work to ensure consumer safety and secure customer trust.

The Hazardous Product Sales Blocking System is jointly operated by government inspection agencies including the National Institute of Technology and Standards, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety under the supervision of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Companies operating this system receive information about the hazard status of products sold on the market through the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s electronic information site, KoreanNet, and sellers can verify this information and block illegal or defective products in real time.

SK Stoa stated that since the COVID-19 pandemic, various types of e-commerce such as overseas direct purchase, proxy purchase, and parallel imports have increased, raising consumer interest in product safety. To provide a trustworthy trading environment, the company introduced this system.
