[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) has been operating Care SOS Center promotional booths focused on daily life locations such as traditional markets and marts since May 27 to identify blind spots in care.

The promotional booths will be held 10 times at a total of 9 locations until July 6, in collaboration with the public-private governance organization, the "Together Care Promotion Team."

They provide information and basic consultations related to the eight major services of the Care SOS Center, which has been expanded this year, and when care recipients are identified on-site, they are connected to the local community center to receive care services.

The Care SOS Center offers eight services: ▲temporary home care ▲short-term facilities ▲meal support ▲information counseling ▲accompaniment support ▲housing convenience ▲welfare checks ▲health support, and provides free support to households receiving basic living subsidies, legally designated low-income groups, and those with incomes below 85% of the median income.

Additionally, residents who urgently need care but are not eligible for free support can use the Care SOS Center services with a self-payment.

A resident who visited the promotional booth on May 27 said, "I had difficulties managing both work and caring for my parents, but if I use the accompaniment support service and meal support service, the problem seems to be solved."

Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "I am grateful to the 'Together Care Promotion Team,' which is operating the promotional booths on-site to identify blind spots in care," and added, "Residents in need of care should not hesitate to use the Care SOS Center services."
