[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it held the '2021 First Half Major Business Progress Report Meeting' on the 21st, presided over by County Governor Kim Jun-seong, with about 100 participants including heads of departments and divisions, eup and myeon chiefs, and team leaders from the main office.
This report meeting was organized to identify the progress and issues of the 261 major policies planned for this year and to maximize county administration achievements through a comprehensive review of the second half implementation plans.
The county selected the following as major achievements in the first half: ▲ ranked first nationwide for total fertility rate for two consecutive years ▲ reduced civil complaint review period by 50% through online civil complaint practical council operation ▲ minimized local spread of COVID-19 ▲ developed a dedicated harvester for young barley.
In the second half, the county plans to accelerate projects delayed in administrative procedures such as ▲ establishment of Youth Startup and Childcare Integrated Support Center ▲ Chil-san Tower surrounding tourism resource development project ▲ construction of Myoryang Agricultural and Industrial Complex ▲ new construction of a dementia-specialized comprehensive nursing facility ▲ establishment of a dedicated drinking water reservoir.
Governor Kim Jun-seong said, “Through this report meeting, I hope the administrative power will be focused on supplementing the shortcomings of the first half projects and ensuring the scheduled projects for the second half proceed without any setbacks. With about one year left in the seventh elected term, please do your best to produce visible results in large-scale investment projects.”
