[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] LG Household & Health Care announced on the 22nd that it will support daily necessities and health functional foods for more than 1,500 war veterans who sacrificed for the country over the next five years in commemoration of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans.

As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities, LG Household & Health Care is carrying out the 'Hope Box Sponsorship Project' for war veterans' families facing economic difficulties. LG Household & Health Care launched this project after learning that many veterans who risked their lives for the country during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and other conflicts often experience financial hardship due to modest household circumstances.

LG Household & Health Care plans to deliver Hope Boxes twice a year until 2025 to more than 1,500 veterans, including members of the Baengmagoji Veterans Association, Vietnam Veterans Association, Korean War Guerrilla Veterans Association, and Incheon Landing Operation Veterans Association. The Hope Boxes consist of daily necessities such as shampoo and body wash, hygiene products like masks and hand sanitizers, and health functional foods including red ginseng.

Park Heon-young, Executive Director of LG Household & Health Care, said, "We express our gratitude for the noble sacrifice of the veterans," adding, "We will strive to foster a social atmosphere that honors those who sacrificed for the country."

Meanwhile, on the 21st, LG Household & Health Care held a gift delivery ceremony at the Special Warfare Command in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, attended by military officials including Special Warfare Commander Lieutenant General So Young-min and Park Chung-am, President of the Korea Guerrilla Veterans Federation, marking the start of the Hope Box Sponsorship Project.

Park Chung-am, President of the Korea Guerrilla Veterans Federation, said, "We have always felt neglected and lonely, so we are truly grateful and touched by the precious gifts from LG Household & Health Care and the Special Warfare Command."
