Suncheon City Council Garden Expo Special Committee Holds Design Service Report Meeting

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Council's '2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Successful Hosting Support Special Committee (Chairman Kang Hyung-gu)' announced on the 21st that it held a design service result briefing session as part of checking the preparation status for the expo.

At the briefing session, members of the Garden Expo Special Committee and officials from the Secretariat of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) attended to share the results of the design service. During the subsequent discussion, various opinions were presented on measures to improve connectivity and accessibility with the surrounding environment, safety measures for facility installation, and creating an environment befitting an ecological city to ensure the successful hosting of the Garden Expo.

Chairman Kang Hyung-gu stated, "Starting with the basic plan briefing session in May, through this design service result briefing session, the Suncheon City Council and the Organizing Committee will firmly lay the foundation from the preparation stage to successfully complete the Garden Expo."

Meanwhile, the Suncheon City Council Garden Expo Special Committee is composed of a total of nine council members, including Chairman Kang Hyung-gu, Vice Chairman Oh Kwang-mook, and members Moon Kyu-jun, Seo Jeong-jin, Park Gye-su, Jeong Hong-jun, Lee Young-ran, Kim Mi-yeon, and Park Jae-won. The committee plans to operate until June 2022 to ensure the successful hosting of the Garden Expo.
