On the 21st, banners celebrating the achievements of Coach Park and the Vietnam team, such as "Park Hang-seo's Team Secures First Ever World Cup Final Qualifier," were displayed throughout Sancheong-gun, Coach Park's hometown.

Local residents said, "Following the victory at the recent East Asian Games and the awarding of the Labor Medal to Vietnam, we applaud Coach Park and the Vietnam team for once again leaving a historic achievement in football."

Coach Park, who has always had a special affection for his hometown, was appointed as an ambassador for Sancheong-gun in February 2019, contributing to various fields including attracting Vietnamese tourists, promoting international exchange of Sancheong agricultural specialties with Vietnam, and revitalizing domestic sports marketing.

In fact, within Donguibogam Village, a representative leisure and tourist destination in Sancheong-gun, a signboard featuring Coach Park stands, and until the outbreak of COVID-19, group tours from Vietnam frequently visited this site, gaining popularity.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam national football team led by Coach Park Hang-seo narrowly lost to the UAE in the final match of the second round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup Asian qualifiers on the 16th, but secured advancement to the final round for the first time in history as the second place team in their group.
