Graduate School of Chung-Ang University Department of Climate Economics, Recruiting New Students... Applications Accepted Until July 4

The Department of Climate Economics at Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Startup Management announced that it is accepting applications for new students for the second half of 2021 until the 4th of next month.


The application submission period is until July 6th, and successful candidates will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview. The final successful candidates will be announced on July 13th at 2 PM.


Currently, the Department of Climate Economics at Chung-Ang University was established in September 2008 and is cultivating top-level experts in the fields of environment and climate change in Korea. Since June 2020, it has been designated by the Ministry of Environment as a specialized graduate school for fine dust management, expanding research areas in greenhouse gas reduction and fine dust management, and providing education on policy-related theory, research, and analysis.


The courses offered include △ Fine Dust and Renewable Energy Policy △ Emissions Trading System △ Greenhouse Gas Inventory △ Climate Environment Policy Analysis △ Practical Fine Dust Reduction △ Measurement of Greenhouse Gas and Fine Dust Emissions △ Fine Dust and Life Cycle Assessment △ Methodology for Measuring Fine Dust Ripple Effects, among others.


A university official stated, "In the metropolitan area, Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Startup Management's Department of Climate Economics is the only graduate school designated as specialized in fine dust. We support employment with a systematic curriculum and learning process."


Meanwhile, the Department of Climate Economics offers scholarships for outstanding admission scores, academic excellence, and teaching assistants. External scholarship benefits include the Fine Dust Specialized Graduate School Scholarship and separate scholarships provided when participating in research projects (industry-academia cooperation projects, internships, etc.). The 'Fine Dust Specialized Graduate School Scholarship' is awarded 100% to graduate students admitted to the Department of Climate Economics. (However, only 50% support is provided for employed individuals.)
