Incheon Gaehangjang Smart Tourism Product and Service Development Contest

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Tourism Organization has launched a contest to discover smart tourism projects that combine 'Information Technology (IT)' and 'tourism' within the Incheon Open Port area.

This contest aims to revitalize tourism in the Open Port area following last year's designation of the Incheon Open Port district as the country's first smart tourism city.

The organization plans to select a total of three companies through the 'Open Port Smart Tourism Product and Service Development Contest.' These companies will receive up to 30 million KRW in commercialization funds, along with tailored support such as consulting for business advancement, market testing, and promotional marketing.

Eligibility requires participants to be individual or corporate business operators registered before the contest start date, and anyone wishing to develop tourism products or services using smartphone-based IT technology in the Incheon Open Port area can participate.

To promote the contest, the organization is holding an online event until the 30th of this month, and an online briefing session will be held at 3 PM on the 1st of next month. The briefing can be attended by pre-registering on the Event-us website (event-us.kr/32391).

The contest deadline is the 20th of next month, and detailed information can be found on the Incheon Tourism Enterprise Support Center website.
