Jeon Gyeong-seon, Jeonnam Provincial Council Member, Talent Donation Instructor for 'Classes with Alumni'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 21st, Jeonnam Provincial Council announced that Jeon Gyeong-seon, Chairperson of the Operations Committee ((Democratic Party·Mokpo 5), visited a 6th-grade classroom at Mokpo Sanjeong Elementary School and volunteered as a talent donation instructor for the ‘Class with Alumni’ program.

‘Class with Alumni’ is a program in which faculty and alumni participate together to celebrate the 88th anniversary of Mokpo Sanjeong Elementary School’s founding, with about 10 graduates including the alumni president taking part.

Jeon Gyeong-seon, a 40th graduate of the school, visited his alma mater Mokpo Sanjeong Elementary School to deliver scholarships and encourage the students in celebration of the anniversary.

Jeon said, “The students asked why the city bus fare in Suncheon is 100 won while the bus fare in Mokpo is more expensive,” and “They also asked what would improve if the Island Promotion Agency was established in Mokpo, showing that the students were actually more interested in local community issues than adults.”

He added, “It was a precious and meaningful time for these distant juniors and young teenagers to learn for themselves what they need,” and “Looking back on my childhood, I have the most memories of running and playing in the wide playground.”

He continued, “The important thing is a strong body and a healthy mind, so I encourage them to play hard and read many books to grow into democratic citizens and become valuable leaders of society in the future.”
