Nonghyup Jangheung Branch Practices ESG Management Through Water Pollution Control Training

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Korea Rural Community Corporation Jangheung Branch (Branch Manager Seo Young-jun) announced on the 21st that it conducted the 2021 'Water Pollution Prevention Training' on the 17th around Moryeongje and the upper stream river area within the jurisdiction to ensure the stable supply of clean agricultural water.

This training was conducted to personally experience how environmental issues, which are becoming increasingly serious, affect water quality changes, and to prevent the spread of water pollution through activities such as spraying algae removal agents and installing oil fences.

It also aimed to recognize that the inflow of oil and pollutants that may occur upstream of reservoirs threatens the lives of fish and aquatic plants, and to strengthen the capacity to respond in case of accidents.

Branch Manager Seo Young-jun stated, “We will establish a water pollution prevention system and cultivate the ability to respond quickly to do our best in supplying clean agricultural water.”
