[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] To revive the sluggish domestic economy due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Gangwon Province will participate again this year in the 'Korea Together Sale' following last year, through non-face-to-face and online special exhibitions and live commerce.

According to the province on the 21st, from the 22nd of this month to the 15th of next month, Gangwon Mart will hold the 'Ganghaeng Sale (Gangwon Province Together Sale)' in connection with the Gangwon Sale Festa.

With up to 30% discounts and various prize events prepared, online shopping malls representing 10 cities and counties will participate in the Together Sale.

The province’s social economy enterprise online shopping mall 'Gangwon Gotgan' will offer discount promotions and free shipping support.

At Inville Shopping, 18 items from four informatization villages (Wonju Mireuksan, Cheorwon Durumi Peace, Hwacheon Togomi, Hwacheon Haneulbit Lake), including glutinous corn and rice, will be specially discounted by 15-25%, with free delivery.

Additionally, from the 28th of this month to the 4th of next month, an online special exhibition of products from nine small and medium enterprises in the province titled 'Together Sale Online Nationwide Tour! Regional Specialty Products Home Shopping Special Price' will be held through Auction.

Gmarket will participate until July 11, Coupang until the end of June to July, and 11st, TMON, and WEMAKEPRICE will join the online special exhibitions of products produced by small and medium enterprises in the province during the Together Sale period.

On Naver Shopping Live, live commerce broadcasts featuring products from six small and medium enterprises in the province will be conducted, capturing the beautiful scenery of Gangwon Province with the Lee Hyo-seok Birthplace as the main background.

Sesame oil producer 'Seowondang' plans to showcase the manufacturing process through live broadcasts from the production site to fully convey a sense of presence and vitality.

The relay Together Sale involving more than 30 traditional markets in Gangwon Province is also noteworthy.

From the 22nd to July 15, discounts of up to 20% will be offered on Naver Shopping Live and Gangwon Jangteo TV.

A payback event will be held at eight markets, including Chuncheon Underground Shopping Arcade, where customers who shop directly at traditional markets will receive a 10,000 KRW market use coupon for every 40,000 KRW spent.

Gangwon-type delivery app 'Ildan Sikyeo' will hold a discount coupon (5,000 KRW) issuance event for subscribers, and the issuance limit of mobile Gangwon gift certificates will be raised to 10 billion KRW to be used at Gangwon Mart, Gangwon Gotgan, Ildan Sikyeo (delivery app), and others.

Kim Tae-hoon, Director of the Economic Promotion Bureau of the province, said, "During these difficult times, we are mobilizing all online shopping capabilities of the province in connection with the 'Korea Together Sale' to carry out the sale event, which will greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
