[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Challenge Support Project' to encourage social activity participation and employment support for young people who have given up job seeking until September 24.

This project operates a customized 2-month (32 hours) program to strengthen employment capabilities and provides one-on-one counseling to boost the motivation for social activity participation, targeting young people aged 18 to 34 who have given up job seeking, centered around local government youth centers. An incentive of 200,000 KRW is also provided.

This year, the city will select and support a total of 500 participants. Eligible applicants are young people aged 18 to 34 who have no employment history in the employment insurance database and no participation history in employment training or employment support services from the Ministry of Employment and Labor within the last six months.

Applicants can apply online (Yuyugiji website www.inuu.kr) or in person at the Youth Center (Yuyugiji). Detailed information can be found on the websites of Incheon City and Incheon Technopark.

An official from Incheon City stated, "Through the promotion of the Youth Challenge Support Project, young people in the Incheon area will regain their will to find employment and establish a foundation for successful social advancement," and urged for active interest and participation.
