Hana Insurance, from Voice Phishing Crime Compensation to One-Day Leisure Insurance

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hana Insurance announced on the 21st that it has launched Cyber Financial Crime Insurance and one-day leisure insurance for fishing and surfing.

Cyber Financial Crime Insurance covers crimes using information and communication networks such as phishing and smishing with an annual premium in the 3,000 KRW range. The subscription period is one year, and coverage is available for one year with a single payment. It is available for those aged 19 to 79.

Subscribers can choose the insured amount from 1 million KRW, 3 million KRW, 5 million KRW, or 10 million KRW, and select a compensation ratio of 50%, 60%, 70%, or 80%. For example, selecting an insured amount of 5 million KRW with an 80% compensation ratio allows subscription for a premium of 3,410 KRW per year.

Additionally, fishing and surfing insurance are available for those aged 19 to 60. They can be subscribed on a daily basis, with fishing insurance available for up to one week. Coverage includes 20 million KRW for accidental death and permanent disability, 10,000 KRW per day for hospitalization due to injury, and 200,000 KRW for fracture diagnosis (excluding tooth fractures) and fracture surgery.

A Hana Insurance official said, "There is the advantage of convenient and quick subscription with a premium of less than 1,000 KRW per day," adding, "It is a product that combines both rationality and convenience by allowing customers to directly choose the insurance they want at an affordable premium."
