Shinhan Asset Management Launches Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type No. 2 Fund

Fund No.1 achieves target shift with 8% performance in just 2 months

Shinhan Asset Management Launches Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type No. 2 Fund

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Shinhan Asset Management announced on the 21st that it will launch the Shinhan Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type 2 Fund.

Shinhan Asset Management judged that attention should be paid to the contact era that will revive again after the COVID-19 vaccine distribution, and has been preparing to launch the Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type fund through prompt preparation. As expected, with the increase in vaccine distribution and vaccination rates, expectations for the recovery of offline activities and contact consumption have intensified, and the 1st fund succeeded in rapid target conversion by achieving about 8% performance within two months after its launch in early May.

The Shinhan Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type Fund discovers investment stocks in three contact themes: contact consumption (beneficiary stocks of consumption recovery), momentum-improving contact (capturing opportunities in cyclical industries due to inventory shortages and expanded production activities from the revival of the global value chain), and growing contact (contact companies with long-term growth themes).

Jung Seong-han, head of the Alpha Management Center managing this fund, stated, “As the COVID-19 vaccination rate increases worldwide, we believe expectations for offline activities and contact consumption will rise, so we focused on companies that will benefit from this phase,” and added, “The 2nd fund will also focus on the COVID-19 recovery phase and beyond, capturing investment opportunities in the returning daily life through active management.”

The subscription period for Shinhan Contact Alpha Target Conversion Type 2 is set until the 25th, with the set date on the 28th. This fund can be subscribed through Samsung Securities, Shinhan Financial Investment, Yuanta Securities, Kiwoom Securities, Hi Investment & Securities, Korea Investment & Securities, Hanwha Investment & Securities, Hyundai Motor Securities, KB Securities, SK Securities, and others.
