[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Choyoung] Former Saenuri Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) lawmaker Kim Moosung stated on the 20th that he has "no connection whatsoever" to the so-called 'Yoon Seokyeol X-file' controversy, which contains allegations related to former Prosecutor General Yoon Seokyeol.

Earlier, political commentator Jang Seongcheol, head of the Gonggam and Debate Policy Center, posted on his Facebook on the 19th that he had obtained former Prosecutor General Yoon's 'X-file' and wrote, "After much consideration, I have concluded that it would be very difficult for someone facing such allegations to be chosen by the people."

As it became known that Jang was a former aide to former lawmaker Kim, some speculated that "former lawmaker Kim is behind this."

Former lawmaker Kim drew a clear line, saying, "Jang left the lawmaker's office in March 2018 to pursue a career as a commentator, and we have had no contact since," adding, "I am also learning about this through TV."

Jang also requested on his Facebook, "I have had no contact with former Representative Kim since I resigned as his aide in March 2018," and asked, "Please do not associate me with this."
