[Breaking] Choo Mi-ae Announces Presidential Bid on 23rd "Decision Made After Long Deliberation" Former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae attended the ceremony commemorating the 21st anniversary of the June 15 Inter-Korean Summit held on the 15th. [Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Former Minister of Justice and presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, Choo Mi-ae, officially announced her bid for the presidency by revealing her schedule for declaring her candidacy on the 20th.


On the same day, Choo posted on Facebook, "After long deliberation, I have made up my mind. I have decided to raise the flag toward a 'world where people are valued highly.'" She announced that she will declare her presidential candidacy on the 23rd at 2 PM via her YouTube channel 'Choo Mi-ae TV.'


She explained her presidential vision by saying, "Nothing is higher than people. People are above money, above land, and above power." She added, "'A country that values people' embodies the constitutional spirit of popular sovereignty and is a nation that elevates the dignity of its citizens on the path to becoming an advanced nation."
