Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort Hosts 'Eommigeum, Cheonbyeonmanhwa Painting Invitational Exhibition'

Solo Exhibition by Artist Eom Mi-geum to be Held for About a Month Starting from the 21st

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yu-ri] Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort announced on the 18th that it will hold artist Eom Mi-geum's "Cheonbyeonmanhwa Painting Invitational Exhibition" starting from the 21st.

The exhibition will be held until July 23rd at the 1st floor "Lobby Gallery" and the 3rd floor "Dream Gallery." This exhibition is the second following the "Jeju Children's Creative Art Contest Award-winning Works Exhibition," which was held in May under the theme "The Mirror, Myself, and Us."

This exhibition features over 50 pieces of Minhwa (Korean folk paintings), including works created under the theme "Cheonbyeonmanhwa (千變萬化)," which depicts the endlessly changing scenes of nature observed by the artist.

The representative work is "Yeoui (如意)." Yeoui is a vessel symbolizing "everything going as wished." The famous "The Little Prince," known for its encounter between Western literature and Minhwa, can also be seen in this exhibition. Additionally, "Ilwol Cheondodo," created in 2018 to pray for the success of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, is on display.

A representative of Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort said, "During the upcoming summer hotel vacation season, guests can enjoy not only accommodation but also food, entertainment, and culture and arts at Dream Tower," adding, "The galleries located on the 1st and 3rd floors are open community spaces where local residents and customers can continuously enjoy various exhibitions and events related to culture and arts."
