Ok Joo-hyun Experiences Health Issues During Musical 'Wicked' Performance... Producer Announces "Full Refund" Musical 'Wicked's Ok Joo-hyun.

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The musical 'Wicked' production team apologized for the disruption caused by Ok Joo-hyun's sudden health issue and announced a full refund for the affected performance.

The production company S&Co, responsible for 'Wicked,' stated on their official social media on the 18th, "We deeply apologize for the disruption during Act 2 of the performance on the 17th due to Ok Joo-hyun, who plays 'Elphaba,' experiencing a sudden health problem. The tickets for this performance will be fully refunded sequentially through the original ticketing channels without any additional fees."

They added, "We thank the audience for taking their valuable time to attend. We will do our best to ensure the actor's swift recovery and to deliver the remaining performances, which last about a week, with utmost effort."

During the Act 2 stage of the 'Wicked' performance held at Dream Theater in Nam-gu, Busan, the previous day, Ok Joo-hyun suddenly experienced a throat issue and was unable to properly sing some numbers.

According to audience reviews from that day’s performance, after finishing the stage, Ok Joo-hyun bowed deeply to the audience during the curtain call and apologized, saying, "There is a problem with my throat. I am sorry for not being able to deliver a good performance." It was reported that she collapsed on stage and wept.

Ok Joo-hyun is scheduled to appear as planned for the performances on the 19th and 20th.
