"Goe" is a popular work ranked number one in the monthly martial arts genre on Mr. Blue's own platform. It achieved first place in the daily rankings of the action martial arts genre on Kakao Page on the 11th and is currently ranked second. Since January, "Goe" has also been serialized in Japan through Piccoma, Japan's number one webtoon platform operated by Kakao Japan.
Serialized on Kakao Page since August last year, "Goe" is a traditional martial arts project directly written by Yaseollok, one of the four great kings of domestic martial arts. "Goe" tells the story of the absolute being "Lee Gunak," who returned to the world three hundred years ago and struggles to prevent the bloodshed that is about to come.
Mr. Blue holds the copyrights (IP) of Hwangseong, Yaseollok, Samadal, and Haseungnam, known as the four great kings of domestic martial arts. It is the only domestic platform company that owns its own martial arts IP, with martial arts comics accounting for about 50% of total sales.
Jo Seungjin, CEO of Mr. Blue, said, "To target the younger readership, we have been actively servicing new martial arts works domestically and internationally since last year," and added, "We are pleased that 'Goe,' one of Mr. Blue's representative martial arts works, is receiving a good response from readers."
He continued, "The planned serialized work 'Sinma' by Hwangseong is also scheduled to be serialized on Kakao Page starting this August, and we ask for readers' great interest and support."
Meanwhile, Mr. Blue announced that the webtoon hit "Winter Passes, Cherry Blossoms" has been produced as an audio drama and has been serviced through the audio drama specialized platform "Audio Comics" since the 28th of last month. Currently, up to episode 12 has been released, and new episodes will be released three times a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday).
