SugenTech "COVID-19 Self-Test Kits Approved for Sale in Italy and Belgium"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] SuzenTech announced on the 18th that it has obtained sales approval for the COVID-19 self-testing antigen rapid kit (SGTi-flex COVID-19 Ag(self-testing)) in Italy and Belgium.

In May of this year, SuzenTech received the European CE CoC (Certificate of Conformity) for this product, allowing it to distribute the product throughout Europe.

However, the governments of Italy and Belgium require individual additional approval procedures beyond the CE CoC certification for product sales.

SuzenTech is also pursuing individual national approvals in Switzerland and Greece. Recently, it obtained official approval in Bahrain in the Middle East and is preparing for sales.

According to SuzenTech, this product targets antigen regions of the virus that rarely mutate, enabling diagnosis of the UK variant and the Indian variant as well.
