Positive Response to Resolving On-Site Issues for Hanwoo Farmers for 11 Years

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, in collaboration with the Rural Development Administration, has been conducting comprehensive consulting for Hanwoo cattle farmers for 11 years to address their difficulties, receiving positive responses.

The Sancheong-gun Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 17th that it conducted comprehensive consulting for four representatives of Hanwoo cattle farms at a barn in Danseong-myeon together with the National Institute of Animal Science of the Rural Development Administration.

This consulting was prepared to resolve on-site difficulties faced by Hanwoo cattle farmers, such as the recent rise in feed prices.

Now in its 11th year, the comprehensive consulting for livestock farms was carried out across various fields including improvement and breeding through a prior technical demand survey.

In particular, a team of top experts in each field was formed, gaining great response from livestock farmers, and additional specialized consulting will be provided for farms requiring on-site technical support.

Jung Seung-hak, representative of Misan Farm, who attended the consulting, said, “I had many concerns due to the recent increase in feed costs, but it was very helpful to learn about technical improvements such as management structure improvement, feeding, and disease control.”
