[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) has been selected as the best county for two consecutive years in the Jeollanam-do sports marketing city and county evaluation.


According to the county on the 17th, during the 2020 summer and 2020?2021 winter periods, they attracted 1,165 athletes in 13 sports, totaling about 18,300 visits for training camps, achieving active sports marketing results.


In particular, although many local governments closed public sports facilities due to the spread of COVID-19, Haenam-gun led safe training camps under thorough quarantine measures, attracting athletes from all over the country.


The county downsized the scale of training camps mainly for teams visiting Haenam annually, while requiring prior submission of health questionnaires and PCR test results, and strictly adhered to quarantine rules such as temperature checks and disinfection during the training period, resulting in zero COVID-19 infections from training camps.


Haenam-gun, which has the largest number of sports facilities among counties in the province, has concentrated sports facilities within 10 minutes around Useul Stadium, allowing athletes to conduct everything from basic physical training to sport-specific competitions without traveling far, making it one of the most efficient training facilities nationwide.


In addition to Useul Sports Park, the county is accelerating the establishment of a sports marketing foundation by constructing the 2nd Sports Town and a complex sports culture center, scheduled for completion in 2023.


Haenam-gun plans to continuously promote sports marketing throughout all seasons, including summer training camps this year, aiming to attract about 15,000 visits across 9 sports during the training period from July to August.
