[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Former Saenuri Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) lawmaker Jeon Yeok directly criticized Democratic Party lawmaker Go Minjeong, who resumed her social networking service (SNS) activities, saying, "Minjeong is a treasure of our 'conservative right-wing.' She's not as good as Chu Mi-ae, but we cherish her."

On the 16th, Jeon posted on her Facebook, "People say that the Democratic Party and its members are really worried because Minjeong is back on SNS," revealing this view.

She said, "'The returned Go Minjeong' posted on SNS without any worries," and sharply warned, "Don't post risky stories you don't really understand on SNS."

She continued, "It seems like she wrote it to 'make people laugh,' but she must really be from 'another country,'" and criticized, "This country is suffering serious damage because of Moon Jae-in's 'incompetence,' so what are you talking about?"

She also added, "Everyone nationwide already knows that Minjeong's 'content account' is a negative balance account (overdraft account)."

Then she sarcastically said, "Just keep being 'emotional' as usual. Hug each other and cry, and sleep like this in an office with books. That suits you."

During the April 7 by-election campaign, lawmaker Go was criticized for conducting so-called 'emotional campaigning' by posting on social networking services (SNS) in support of Democratic Party candidate Park Young-sun.

Recently, Go posted on her Facebook quoting Harvard professor Michael Sandel's book The Tyranny of Merit, criticizing meritocracy. This was interpreted as a possible jab at People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok, who advocates meritocracy.

Earlier, People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok explained, "Meritocracy is a tool to guarantee fairness," adding, "If there is a foundation for fair competition, competition should happen, and when that foundation is lacking, consideration is given." He also stated, "It is hard to accept labeling this as elitism."

In addition, in April, he said, "During my time at Harvard, our class called Sandel's lectures 'drug dealer classes' and many did not attend them," adding, "Sandel was already concluded to be a drug dealer at school."
