Jangheung-gun Holds Safety and Integrity Resolution Meeting for Waterworks Project

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) attended the public-private waterworks safety and integrity pledge meeting on the 15th to prevent water safety accidents and promote a culture of integrity.

According to the county on the 17th, this event was hosted by the Jangheung Waterworks Management Team (Director Jeong Han-sang) and was organized as an occasion to reaffirm commitment to establishing a safety culture among local partner companies through public-private cooperation and achieving zero industrial accidents and corruption.

In strict compliance with quarantine rules such as wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event proceeded in the order of safety education by the Waterworks Management Team, reading of the Safety Management Charter, communication time among attendees, and signing of the Integrity Practice Pledge.

During the communication time, measures to ensure residents' safety from various recent tap water accidents and to guarantee a safe working environment for workers were discussed.

Baek Chang-seon, head of the Jangheung-gun Waterworks Office, said, “To improve the quality of water circulation services in Jangheung-gun, public and private sectors gathered in one place to form a consensus on safety and to reaffirm the will to practice integrity in the waterworks operation process. This meaningful event will serve as a stepping stone.” He added, “Taking this pledge meeting as an opportunity, we will actively strive to improve residents' satisfaction with tap water supply through mutual communication in the future.”
