Three Zoom Lectures with Around 40 Online Attendees Each... Listeners Say "A Useful Lecture Suitable for the Current Era"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) is receiving positive responses from residents for the "Creating Apartment Communities" online lecture held on Zoom, an online video conferencing platform, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM between the 8th and 17th.
The lecture was planned to explore solutions to issues in multi-family housing through voluntary harmony among residents.
Starting with the first lecture on the 8th by Eun Nan-sun, CEO of the Korea Housing Welfare Research Institute, titled "Understanding Apartment Communities and the Need for Revitalization," three sessions have been held so far, each attended by about 40 viewers online.
On the 10th, Shim Jae-chul, Director of the Energy Sharing Research Institute, gave a lecture titled "Apartment Community Activities Centered on Resident Representative Meetings: Reducing Management Fees through Energy Savings," citing cases where actual resident participation led to problem-solving. On the 15th, an activist from another region shared examples of community gatherings centered around apartments.
Listeners of the lectures shared feedback such as "I will consider meaningful community activities" and "It was a useful lecture suited to the current era where we do not even know who lives next door."
Meanwhile, the final lecture on the 17th, conducted by Lee Sang-woo, Executive Director of the Wistay Byeollae Social Cooperative, will focus on "Experimental Sites of Apartment-type Village Communities."
