Support for Remote Work Systems Most Needed in Corporate Sites... Applications Accepted Until the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 17th that it will implement a telecommuting support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners. Seoul plans to recruit companies that wish to use the service until the 25th.
The Seoul-type SME telecommuting support pilot project supported by Seoul is composed of the most needed areas in the field. ▲ Groupware, attendance management, customer management, video conferencing, network and security solutions ▲ Consulting for efficient telecommuting introduction are the two main areas.
First, Seoul supports solutions in the areas most needed when conducting telecommuting. Companies can choose and use solutions in five areas including groupware for remote communication and attendance management, up to 4 million KRW (up to 2 million KRW per service). Companies only need to bear 10% of the total service cost, while Seoul covers the remaining 90% of the usage fee. The service can be used for up to 12 months.
Customized consulting for telecommuting introduction is also provided, considering industry, scale, and work processes. Consulting fees (2 million KRW per company) will be supported free of charge for 10 companies. This can be supported concurrently with telecommuting solutions.
The Seoul-type SME telecommuting support pilot project is operated by the Seoul Economic People’s Association, selected through a public contest, and performs roles such as recruiting and selecting supply and demand companies and confirming service provision.
Jung Young-jun, Director of the Economic Policy Division, said, “We hope that a safe working environment will be created through this pilot telecommuting support project conducted this year,” and added, “We will use this pilot project as an opportunity to contribute to the effective establishment of telecommuting environments for SMEs, while carefully reviewing and developing improvement measures.”
