Jeondongpyeong Yeongam County Governor Selected as 'Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus'

Jeonnam National University 69th Anniversary, Recognized for Significant Contributions to Alma Mater's Development

[Yeongam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeollanam-do Yeongam-gun announced on the 16th that County Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong was selected as a ‘Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus’ in celebration of the 69th anniversary of Jeonnam National University this year.

Jeonnam National University selected 12 recipients of the ‘Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus’ award, including County Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong, and the award ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 15th in the large conference room on the first floor of the university headquarters.

The ‘Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus,’ selected annually on the university’s anniversary, is an award given to alumni who have greatly enhanced the honor and prestige of their alma mater and made significant contributions to the development of the university after graduation.

Governor Jeon graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering, Jeonnam National University, and earned a master's degree in Public Administration from the Graduate School of Public Administration at the College of Law, Jeonnam National University. As Yeongam County Governor, he has greatly contributed to leading the development of the local community, significantly raising the pride of Jeonnam National University alumni and earning recognition for his great contributions to the university’s development, leading to his selection as a ‘Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus.’

Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong said, “I am indescribably happy to receive this award, which is more honorable and valuable than any other award as a Proud Jeonnam National University Alumnus this year,” and added, “I sincerely congratulate Jeonnam National University on its 69th anniversary, and I hope that it will continue to soar as a university that nurtures global talents beyond Korea, befitting its status as a truly global university.”
