[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 16th that it will hold a special session on ‘KT Network Intelligence Technology’ for participants from industry, academia, and research institutions at the Korea Institute of Communication Sciences Summer Comprehensive Conference.
The Korea Institute of Communication Sciences Summer Comprehensive Conference is the largest domestic communication academic event where industry, academia, research, and government gather in one place to discuss the present and future of the rapidly changing communication technology research environment. This year’s event will be held for three days from today until the 18th at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Jeju.
The ‘KT Network Intelligence Technology’ special session is composed of three topics: ▲ Intelligent Wired Network ▲ Intelligent Wireless Network ▲ Network-specialized Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology. Each session is led by scholars in each research field, with KT researchers explaining related technologies and solutions.
First, in the Intelligent Wired Network session, starting with an overview of network AI research trends, the session will introduce the intelligent wired network monitoring solution ‘Dr. Lauren’ and the ‘Data Labeling Automation Technology’ that enables early learning of network equipment failure data based on AI.
In the second session, Intelligent Wireless Network, cases of using network AI for stable operation of wireless networks and optimization of mobile communication equipment will be presented, along with an explanation of ‘Dr. WAIS,’ an AI-based 5G wireless network optimization solution.
In the final session on Network-specialized AI Technology, network AI technologies and platforms developed to meet the needs of network operation sites and other industries will be introduced. This includes intelligent RPA (Robot Process Automation) technology for integrated management of network equipment, the AI-based optical network failure prevention and automatic analysis platform ‘Dr. Cable,’ and the application results of the AI monitoring platform for communication structures.
KT plans to use this special session as an opportunity to activate exchanges among industry, academia, and research, expanding cases of digital transformation of infrastructure design, operation, and monitoring systems based on AI technology.
Jongsik Lee, Director of KT Infrastructure Research Institute, said, “Holding this special session is a great opportunity to comprehensively deliver various network AI technology know-how and actual application cases,” adding, “We will continue to lead the intelligence of communication infrastructure by integrating network AI solutions into digital platforms.”
