[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] LG Electronics is opening an LG OLED TV-exclusive movie theater in Mexico and launching premium marketing in the South American market.
On the 16th, LG Electronics announced that it opened 'SALA OLED,' an LG OLED TV-exclusive screening room, inside the Cineteca Nacional, the Mexico National Film Archive located in downtown Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. This is the first time LG Electronics has created a movie theater using OLED TVs.
LG Electronics collaborated with video and audio engineers to design the interior space of the screening room so that viewers can fully see and feel the immersive movie-watching experience of OLED TVs. The theater, installed in a stepped style, has a total of 24 seats.
Visitors to the Mexico National Film Archive can experience the overwhelming video and sound quality delivered by the next-generation OLED TV LG OLED evo (model: 77G1), released for the first time this year, and the premium soundbar (model: SN11R) supporting 7.1.4 channel surround sound technology Dolby Atmos.

The Mexico National Film Archive is considered the cultural and artistic center of Mexico, mainly screening art films and frequently holding exhibitions. LG Electronics expects to introduce the differentiated viewing experience of LG OLED TVs to more movie enthusiasts, as this place attracts more than 2 million visitors annually.
LG OLED TVs emit light from each pixel individually without a backlight and can freely control this to express delicate picture quality. Recognized for its overwhelming contrast ratio, black expression, and nearly perfect viewing angles, it is regarded as one of the industry's top-level TVs.
The fact that major Hollywood film studios use LG OLED TVs as reference displays for image quality also proves this. In fact, LG OLED TVs were highly praised for these features and won the Technology & Engineering Emmy Award announced earlier this year by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in the United States.
Song Sung-won, head of LG Electronics Mexico, said, "We will continue to strengthen premium marketing focused on customer experiences so that more customers can experience the overwhelming picture quality and design innovation of OLED."
