[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chaehyunil) is recruiting students for the basic course of the 5th Yeongdeungpo Short Film Academy (hereafter Academy) until the 28th.
Additionally, recruitment for the advanced course, which is for those who have completed the basic course, is open until the 15th.
This Academy is a community participation program for the 13th Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Short Film Festival, scheduled to be held this September, organized in partnership with the Seoul International Short Film Festival Association (Chairman Seomyungsoo).
The curriculum allows participants to learn about films and directly experience the entire process from production to submission and screening.
The Academy recruitment is divided into two classes: basic and advanced. The basic course, designed for beginners, offers programs in narrative film and community documentary.
In the advanced course, which is for those who have completed the basic course, participants can produce documentaries about the Yeongdeungpo area.
The basic course of the Academy will start on July 9 and continue with lectures and filming until the end of July. Professional instructors will systematically guide the entire film production process, including scriptwriting, editing, and post-production. Students will complete their film projects while receiving one-on-one mentoring from the professional instructors.
Anyone interested in film production, including residents of Yeongdeungpo-gu, can apply to participate in the Academy.
Applicants can fill out the application form posted on the Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Short Film Festival website and apply via email (planning2@sesiff.org).
