[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange is recruiting study groups to enhance the understanding of derivatives among university students in the Busan area.
On the 15th, the Exchange announced that it is recruiting a derivatives study group called ‘KRX Future Star’ for university students in the Busan area. According to the Exchange, Future Star is a coined term combining the words "future" and "star," with a double meaning of futures and the future.
The Exchange plans to select five study groups and support university students' derivatives learning activities, including textbook fees and activity expenses, until the end of the year. Textbook fees will be supported at 200,000 KRW per person, and activity expenses at 100,000 KRW per month. The selection criteria include the suitability and feasibility of the study plan as well as the group's activity level.
Selected university students must post their monthly derivatives study activities on their personal social networking services (SNS) and the Future Star blog. In addition, they are required to participate in events and promotional activities conducted by the Exchange. The activity period is from July 15 to December 31.
The Exchange stated, “Through this study group, we expect to enhance the understanding of derivatives among university students in the Busan area and secure a non-face-to-face (untact) communication channel. As a representative financial institution of Busan City, we will also contribute to establishing Busan as a financial hub through region-specific programs.”
