On the 15th, the Post Office Courier Union, affiliated with the National Courier Workers' Union (Courier Union), continued its surprise occupation protest at the Post Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, for the second day. The Post Office Courier Union urged the Korea Post to fulfill its promise to pay appropriate fees related to courier sorting work, which they claim has been broken. On the other hand, the Korea Post rebutted, stating that they have already explained the delivery fee restructuring plan to the union several times.

The first-floor lobby of the Post Tower was filled with union members that day. They shouted slogans in unison following the leadership's commands, such as "Korea Post must take responsibility" and "We are justified."

Sorting work is a major point of conflict between courier companies and the union. The task of sorting parcels before delivery at logistics centers usually takes about 4 to 5 hours.

The problem lies in the fact that most courier workers perform this task themselves but do not receive separate allowances. The union claims that this sorting work is the main cause of courier workers' death from overwork and has defined it as effectively "unpaid labor."

Meanwhile, the Korea Post explained, "We finalized the fee system reflecting the opinions of the courier union's executive committee and signed a collective agreement. The union's claims that we never explained the research results or shared the research report are not true."
