[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Central Bio, which recently formed a strategic partnership with the landscaping tree specialist company ‘Supro,’ announced on the 15th that it successfully held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. With this, it has completed the addition of new business objectives and the appointment of new directors, and plans to actively enter the small-scale smart farm market.
Supro, a KONEX-listed company, is the number one domestic company engaged in the production and distribution of trees, optimized for smart farms through container-type afforestation. It currently operates high value-added businesses such as ‘outdoor wall greening’ and holds numerous related patents.
The small-scale smart farm business is rapidly growing in the United States and Europe. In Korea as well, the small-scale smart farm market is expected to expand as it is being developed starting this year.
A Central Bio official stated, “With the upcoming carbon emission trading in mind, we partnered with Supro, which specializes in smart farms and afforestation, to prepare for green energy projects and inter-Korean cooperation urban greening projects,” adding, “Through the strategic partnership contract with Supro, we plan to actively enter the smart farm market.”
