[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized on the 15th, the 21st anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, saying, "The policy of putting North Korea first has only caused security anxiety," and "This administration is giving vaccines to North Korea, which the people may never receive."

At the floor countermeasure meeting that day, Kim said, "We could not even say a word that the Cheonan sinking was North Korea's act, and although the bodies of our public officials were brutally mutilated in the West Sea, no progress has been made in the investigation or punishment of those responsible," diagnosing it as "the worst security crisis situation, exposed nakedly to North Korea's threats."

He also said, "The G7 joint declaration, which ended on the 13th, calls for complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, reflecting the international community's broad consensus. Yet, the Moon Jae-in administration and the Democratic Party of Korea are trying to forcibly ratify the Panmunjom Declaration in reverse," adding, "(North Korea) has already turned the Panmunjom Declaration into a scrap of paper by blowing up the liaison office built with our taxpayers' money. We will maintain checks and balances to prevent strategic misjudgments in this serious security situation, where the humiliating submissiveness of the Moon Jae-in administration is intensifying."

Meanwhile, Kim urged the Democratic Party to implement five measures to shed the stigma of being 'old-fashioned, reactionary, and vested interests.' Specifically, these are ▲ recommending directors for the North Korean Human Rights Foundation ▲ special prosecution and national investigation into the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) speculation case ▲ special prosecution and national investigation into the abuse of special apartment supply in Sejong City ▲ full compensation for losses of self-employed and small business owners ▲ rectification of the monopolization of standing committees such as the chairmanship of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee.

Kim warned, "If they continue to engage in unfairness and privilege without any reflection, they will face the judgment of the people."
