[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 15th that it will hold an 'Online Financial Golden Bell' on the 15th of next month in collaboration with the Senior Financial Education Council to improve the financial literacy of the senior population and prevent various financial damages.
Anyone aged 50 and above can participate (limited to the first 250 applicants).
Participants will study 'Financial Tips Seniors Must Know,' including voice phishing prevention methods provided by the Financial Supervisory Service and key consumer protection systems under the Financial Consumer Protection Act, through two weeks of online video education. On the day of the event, they can join the online Financial Golden Bell and challenge themselves with 30 multiple-choice and true/false questions.
The top 10 scorers will receive gift certificates worth a total of 2 million KRW, and all participants will be given a small souvenir.
The video educational materials provided to participants will be posted on YouTube so that any senior can watch and use them.
