[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] ADT Caps (CEO Park Jin-hyo) announced on the 15th that it has signed a business agreement with the National Fire Agency, SK Telecom, and Happy Connect to advance the AI-based emergency rescue system. Through this agreement, each collaborating organization will provide support tailored to their characteristics to ensure the safe independent living of vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and people with disabilities.

This agreement was established to commemorate the fact that the number of 119 rescue cases through the 'AI Care' service has exceeded 100 and to strengthen the cooperative system among the organizations. 'AI Care,' provided by ADT Caps, SK Telecom, and Happy Connect, is an AI-based care service targeting vulnerable groups. Service users can obtain lifestyle information or receive various assistance such as medication reminders and music listening by using the AI speaker 'NUGU.'

In particular, when a service user issues an emergency SOS voice command such as 'Save me,' 'Help me,' or 'Assist me' during an urgent situation, the content is received at the ADT Caps control center. ADT Caps assesses the situation and, if it determines that dispatch is necessary, reports to 119 and provides services to respond to emergencies.

Through this agreement, the National Fire Agency will guide the operation details and methods of the 'AI Care' emergency SOS service to fire headquarters in each city and province to establish an organic public-private cooperation system. ADT Caps, SK Telecom, and Happy Connect support the guidance and registration of the National Fire Agency's '119 Safety Call Service' for service users to enable customized first aid and transport. By pre-registering phone numbers, addresses, and diseases in the '119 Safety Call Service,' it is possible to identify the caller's information in an emergency, allowing for prompt medical services.

Jung Young-chul, Head of Operations at ADT Caps, said, "We will continue to develop care services for vulnerable groups by combining the security technology possessed by ADT Caps with ICT, and focus on strengthening the local community safety net." He added, "We will also expand ESG management activities by diversifying life care projects that can help the real lives of vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and people with disabilities."
