GS Shop Opens 'Clean Beauty Section' Gathering Eco-Friendly Cosmetics

GS Shop rewards customers who purchase products from the 'Clean Beauty Section' with a lottery for GS Shop points

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] GS Shop announced on the 15th that it will open a 'Clean Beauty Section' event on its mobile application and sell various eco-friendly cosmetics.


GS Shop explained that this event was prepared reflecting customers' growing interest in 'ethical consumption' and 'eco-friendly consumption.'


The criteria for eco-friendly cosmetics entering GS Shop's 'Clean Beauty Section' are threefold: ▲free of 20 harmful substances that are detrimental to the human body ▲excluding animal testing and animal-derived ingredients ▲using eco-friendly packaging and embodying eco-friendly values. Products must meet at least one of these three criteria to be introduced in the event.


GS Shop is showcasing about 900 eco-friendly beauty products from a total of 38 brands including Aromatica, COSRX, and Hygge, and to commemorate the opening of the event, it will hold a lottery until the 27th of this month. Among customers who purchase products in the 'Clean Beauty Section,' 300 will be selected to receive 3,000 won in GS Shop points.


Byun Jeonghee, manager of the M Beauty Accessories Team, said, "Many customers are interested in eco-friendly cosmetics but do not know which products qualify or where to buy them, so we prepared this event." She added, "We ask for a lot of interest in sustainable consumption and the first step for the environment."
