[Asia Economy, reporter Kim Choyoung] Former United Future Party (now People Power Party) lawmaker Min Kyungwook mocked Lee Junseok, the leader of the People Power Party, on the 14th, sarcastically commenting, "At least his handwriting is excellent," regarding the message Lee left in the guestbook at the Daejeon National Cemetery.

Earlier that day, Lee visited the Daejeon National Cemetery for his first official engagement after being elected as party leader. After paying his respects, he wrote, "The Republic of Korea preparing for tomorrow will not forget the noble sacrifices and dedication."

Regarding this, former lawmaker Min wrote on his Facebook, "There is an old saying: 'Sin-eon-seo-pan' (appearance, speech, handwriting, judgment). Our ancestors considered a person's handwriting to be the third standard by which to judge a person's character," adding, "Is this really what the handwriting of the digital and computer generation looks like? If so, I apologize."

He continued, "Is this even a complete sentence? Even if it is not entirely ungrammatical, it feels lacking and awkward to omit the subject of the noble sacrifices and dedication. Whose sacrifices is he referring to?"

He further criticized, "He used 'the Republic of Korea' as the subject, but such phrasing is typically used by presidents visiting foreign countries. It seems this young man thinks he has become president."

Min also remarked, "Now that he has become party leader, he should seek advice from those around him to avoid making such careless mistakes. He should also prepare and practice in advance. If he continues to display the impulsive and careless words and actions of a young man in his 30s, far greater mistakes will follow, and the party will suffer irreparable damage," adding, "The very first sentence written by this young leader after taking office is already so careless."
