Submission of photos, calligraphy, and safety promotion creative images until the 30th of next month... Awards in September
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 15th that it will hold the "31st Seoul Fire Safety Art Contest" until the 30th of next month.
The "Fire Safety Art Contest" has been held annually since 1991, marking its 31st year this year, and has played a role in raising social awareness about safety through various art submissions and exhibitions.
This year's contest theme is "A Safe Seoul from Disasters such as Fires and Infectious Diseases," and it will be held in three categories: △Photography △Calligraphy △Safety Promotion Creative Images.
Anyone, including Seoul citizens, can participate, and the works must be based on disasters and safety, with the background related to Seoul.
To participate, applicants can download the submission form from the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters website and submit their works via the designated email by the 30th. More detailed information can be found on the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters website.
Additionally, the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to hold a Fire Safety Poster Contest for elementary school students in line with the "November Fire Prevention Month."
The submitted works for this contest will be judged by external experts, and the winning works will be selected in August. The awards, including those for the Fire Safety Poster Contest, will be given as follows: Grand Prize (5 works), Excellence Award (5 works), Merit Award (19 works), Safety Art Award (22 works), and Safety Promotion Award (2015 works). Awards for categories excluding the poster contest will be presented in September.
Kwon Hyuk-min, Head of Prevention at the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters, said, "We ask for the interest and participation of many citizens in the Fire Safety Art Contest, and we hope that this contest will further spread the culture of safety in our society."
