[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 14th that the allowed number of private gatherings will be expanded from 6 to 8 people starting from the 14th.
The pilot period for the revised social distancing plan (Level 1) will be extended for three weeks from today until July 4th.
During this period, the capacity of religious facilities will also be expanded from the current 30% to 50%, and those who have completed vaccination will be allowed to eat at senior centers or religious facilities.
Compared to other regions, the vaccination rate in the county and Jeonnam Province is high, and the COVID-19 situation is relatively stable, so some quarantine guidelines have been eased.
As of the 12th, 24,326 residents of Hwasun-gun have received the first dose, with the first dose vaccination rate accounting for 38.9% of the total population.
The county will strengthen quarantine inspections for multi-use facilities with risk factors along with some easing measures, while maintaining the current suggested number of private gatherings.
Entertainment venues such as nightclubs, karaoke bars, emotional pubs, hunting pubs, colatecs, dance halls, holdem pubs, and singing practice rooms, where confirmed cases have been concentrated since early last month, will continue to limit private gatherings to 4 people.
Infection-vulnerable facilities such as school dormitories, company cafeterias, and shower rooms will strengthen on-site inspections to ensure compliance with basic quarantine rules.
Multi-use facilities such as restaurants, cafes, bathhouses, beauty salons, and indoor gyms will also strengthen quarantine measures including visitor log management, regular disinfection, and ventilation.
A county official said, “Even though social distancing has been eased, if personal hygiene rules and basic quarantine guidelines are neglected, COVID-19 can spread at any time,” and urged, “Please wear masks anytime and anywhere and thoroughly follow quarantine rules such as refraining from visiting other regions.”
He added, “Multi-use facilities such as restaurants, cafes, bathhouses, and indoor sports facilities, where private gatherings have been eased, will strengthen quarantine measures such as visitor log management, disinfection, and ventilation,” and warned, “Violations will be strictly inspected and controlled under a zero-tolerance policy.”
