[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] BGF Retail announced on the 14th that it will introduce the Win-Win Growth Mall in partnership with the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, the first in the industry.
Last month, BGF Retail signed a business agreement with the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, a public institution under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, to introduce the Win-Win Growth Mall for mutual cooperation with small and medium enterprises and improvement of employee welfare. The Win-Win Growth Mall is a win-win online shopping mall where employees of private companies and public institutions can use welfare points to purchase products from small and medium enterprises at reasonable prices.
Through this business agreement, small and medium enterprises with excellent products and technological capabilities but difficulty securing stable sales channels will be able to secure additional sales outlets. BGF Retail employees can also purchase about 50,000 products from 1,000 small and medium enterprises listed on the Win-Win Growth Mall at online lowest price levels.
BGF Retail supports sales of small and medium enterprises in various ways by encouraging employees to voluntarily purchase SME products, participating in corporate-level procurement of required goods, and contributing to a win-win cooperation fund for SME support through the Win-Win Growth Mall. In addition, to encourage active use of the Win-Win Growth Mall by employees, a separate access banner will be installed on the company intranet to improve accessibility, and active promotion such as daily recommended products including daily specials and hot deals will be announced via internal emails.
Since 2015, BGF Retail has operated differentiated win-win programs that provide practical help to partner companies, such as Open SME Consultation Day, management lectures and e-learning education, and on-site VOC visits. In addition, through the CU membership app ‘Pocket CU,’ various products produced by small and medium enterprises are introduced to customers.
BGF Retail CEO Lee Geon-jun said, “We have maintained a solid partnership for over 30 years, prioritizing win-win growth with small and medium partners,” and added, “Starting with the introduction of the Win-Win Growth Mall, CU will continue various online activities that can serve as the foundation for win-win management.”
