[Golf Topic] "COVID-19 Setback" Rahm to Compete for US Open Title~ Yon Ram

On the 13th (Korean time), he posted on his social media (SNS) Twitter, "I tested negative twice in the last 24 hours and have been confirmed by health authorities," adding, "Now it's time to prepare for the US Open." He also shared an animation video showing Rahm tying his hairband tightly with a determined expression. On the 6th, he was leading by six strokes through the third round of the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament but withdrew after testing positive for COVID-19.


Rahm is a player who has won five PGA Tour titles in total. He aims for his first major victory at the US Open, held over four days starting on the 18th at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California. He secured his first win at the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open held at Torrey Pines and has competed there five times, finishing in the top 10 four times. This year, he placed tied for 5th at the Masters and tied for 8th at the PGA Championship, showing strong performances in majors.
