Application Deadline June 18, Top 3 Hidden Young Talents Selection in Busan

Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-joon) has launched a project to discover and support hidden young talents.
Busan City announced on the 13th that it will recruit young talents to participate in the ‘Busan World Class Development 10-Year Project’ until June 18.
The ‘World Class Development 10-Year Project’ is a program to discover hidden talents with high potential in the Busan area and nurture them into global leaders. It is a project to foster and support them to grow into world-class talents, and it is being implemented for the first time this year.
The eligible participants are young people aged 18 to 39, and the application qualifications are ▲those who have their resident registration in Busan City as of the announcement date and reside there ▲those born in Busan and have lived in Busan for more than 12 years ▲those who have their main business place in the Busan area as of the announcement date, and must satisfy at least one of these conditions.
The selection fields are ▲expert fields ▲culture and arts fields ▲issue leader fields, and applications are possible if the applicant has international or national competition awards or other external activity achievements in the relevant fields.
The expert fields include architecture, cooking, design, etc., the culture and arts fields include literature, music, dance, fine arts, theater, film, photography, etc. The issue leader fields include journalism, science and technology, economy, environmental experts, volunteering, women, and others.
The final number of selected candidates this year is within 10, and a public evaluation involving a citizen evaluation group composed of Busan citizens will be conducted for the young people finally selected through document and face-to-face screening (two-stage screening), and support will be determined according to the results.
The top three young people will receive up to 100 million KRW in capacity development support over three years. For application and detailed information, please refer to the announcement on the Busan Youth Platform.
Oh Mi-kyung, head of the Youth Hope Policy Division of Busan City, explained, “This project aims to prevent the outflow of excellent talents from the Busan area and activate the inflow of external talents so that Busan can become a ‘global talent city’ that grows together with young people.”
