Korea Tourism Organization Hosts '2021 Summer Non-Face-to-Face Safe Tourist Destinations Top 25'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Cheol-woo) announced on the 11th that Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest has been selected as one of the 25 Safe Non-face-to-face Tourist Destinations for this summer, hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization.
Located on the slopes of Jeamsan Mountain at an altitude of 807m, the natural recreation forest boasts a magnificent natural landscape with beautiful valleys and trees harmoniously blending with the scenic mountain terrain.
It has 47 rooms including Forest Houses and Forest Lodges, and true to its nickname "Play Forest," various adventure and experience facilities such as Eco Adventure, Zipline, Bear Sled, and Electric Wheels are prepared to offer thrilling excitement.
In particular, the barrier-free deck trail (5.8km), which allows visitors with strollers and wheelchairs to enjoy forest bathing, is highly loved by visitors.
Currently, due to COVID-19 social distancing measures, adventure facilities are not in operation, but outdoor activities in the forest such as lodging, infant forest experiences, and forest interpretation are being conducted in compliance with quarantine rules.
A county official stated, "In this time when COVID-19 social distancing is required, Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest, where you can boost your physical and mental immunity in pristine nature, is the best non-face-to-face tourist destination," and added, "We will do our best in quarantine management so that visiting tourists can enjoy a comfortable and safe summer."
Meanwhile, Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest has also been selected as a Unique Venue with special charm, a Wellness Tourism Destination, and a Star of Korean Tourism hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization.
