Retail Industry Launches Summer Promotions... Discounts on Refrigerators and Dehumidifiers Electroland will hold the 'Refrigerator Festa' promotion until the 30th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The distribution industry is stepping up marketing efforts with discount events and exclusive product launches as the summer season kicks off in earnest.


According to the industry on the 12th, Electron Land is running a 'Refrigerator Festa' promotion until the 30th, offering discounts of up to 50%. During this event, customers can purchase products from major manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, and Winia with various benefits. Additionally, long-term interest-free installment plans are available for customers purchasing high-end refrigerators.


Electron Land is also holding an online-exclusive refrigerator promotion until the 16th. Customers can buy refrigerator models on sale at the online mall with discounts of up to 47%, receive online mall coupons worth up to 100,000 KRW, and cashback worth up to 120,000 KRW. All customers who purchase refrigerator models on sale at Electron Land's online mall during the event period will receive 2kg of chamoe from Electron Land's fruit brand Seonhan Fruit as a gift.


Emart is offering six models of dehumidifiers from LG, Shinil, and Winia at special prices until the 16th. Representative items include the Shinil 6L dehumidifier, which is discounted by 20,000 KRW to 159,000 KRW when purchased with the event card, and the LG 20L dehumidifier, which is sold at 629,000 KRW with additional discounts applied when purchased with the event card.


Shinsegae Department Store is launching various exclusive and new products such as rash guards and beach shorts from popular swimwear brands. The swimwear specialist brand Arena is introducing exclusive products at Shinsegae Department Store, and Nike Swim has prepared new products. A Shinsegae Department Store official said, “With the early summer weather and growing expectations for vaccines, consumer sentiment toward swimwear is recovering,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to present differentiated content that meets customer demand.”
