[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Daebang Construction opened the cyber model house for the residential officetel "Dongtan Station Dietre Prestige," located in Dongtan 2 New Town, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, on the 10th. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure visitors' safety, only the cyber model house is operated. Through the sales website, prospective buyers can check sales information such as floor plans, location, community facilities, and subscription schedules.
This officetel, introduced in the Osandong 979 area of Hwaseong-si, will be built with one building of 323 units, ranging from 6 basement floors to 49 above-ground floors. The housing types include △75㎡ (exclusive area) OA 43 units △84㎡ OA 92 units △84㎡ OB 188 units. It is planned to be designed for households of 3 to 4 people.
A Daebang Construction official said, "Following the nationwide record-breaking subscription competition rate of the ‘Dongtan 2 New Town Dongtan Station Dietre Prestige’ apartment conducted last May, the residential officetel is expected to continue that popularity."
The floor plans are expected to satisfy actual users as much as small apartments. The housing types are designed for 3 to 4-person households, ranging from 75 to 84㎡. In particular, the 84㎡ units will be completed with a floor plan that can replace small apartments, featuring a basic 3-bay 3-room layout with pantry, dressing room, and powder room.
Additionally, to improve the quality of residence, finishing materials rarely seen in general officetels will be used. Temporarily free of charge, wide wooden flooring or polished tile flooring and wall interior panels will be applied, and engineered stone finishing, which is highly preferred by actual users, will be used in the kitchen.
Moreover, home appliances will also be offered as free options (temporarily), including △FCU air conditioners installed free of charge in the living room and bedrooms △Bespoke Kitchen Fit double-door refrigerator and Bespoke Kimchi Plus installation △steam oven △integrated bidet (for master bathroom) and standard bidet (for common bathroom) installation △13.3-inch (capacitive) wall pad. This is expected to enhance residents' convenience while reducing their burden.
Since it is supplied as a residential officetel, unlike apartments, no subscription savings account or points are required, and anyone aged 19 or older residing in Korea can apply regardless of residence restrictions or home ownership. Furthermore, even if one purchases an officetel, it is not counted as a house when applying for an apartment subscription in the future, allowing applicants to maintain first-priority eligibility.
Applications will be accepted for two days starting from the 16th, and winners will be announced on the 22nd. The official contract will be conducted from the 24th to the 25th. Move-in is scheduled for February 2025.
