Women account for 83% of all users... Women in their 20s and 30s are the largest group
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Healing Paper (CEO Hong Seung-il), which operates the beauty medical information platform Gangnam Unni, announced on the 10th that the cumulative number of app subscribers has surpassed 3 million.
Of the 3 million Gangnam Unni subscribers, 83% (2.5 million) are female users. By age group, women in their 20s and 30s account for the largest portion with 2.1 million. As the medical categories searchable on the app have diversified to include skin care and procedures, the age distribution, which was previously concentrated in the early 20s, is expanding.
User procedure reviews have exceeded 650,000. In January, Gangnam Unni introduced a receipt verification review system to block fake procedure reviews. So far, users have applied for over 1 million hospital consultations by comparing and searching reviews and medical advertisements on Gangnam Unni.
The growth of Gangnam Unni's Japanese service is also rapid. Currently, the number of Japanese subscribers reaches 280,000, and within just four months of full-scale local operations, it has secured 350 partner hospitals, reaching the level of the top service. Gangnam Unni's Japanese service operates in two ways: for attracting foreign patients and for local domestic users.
Hong Seung-il, CEO of Healing Paper, said, "We are focusing on filtering out illegal medical advertisements and fake procedure reviews so that more users can search for highly reliable medical content and choose hospitals on mobile."
