E&Corporation "Han Sung Clean Tech's Orders Increase by 67% Compared to Same Period Last Year"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] E&C Corporation announced on the 9th that its subsidiary Hansung Cleantec, a comprehensive water treatment specialist company, recently succeeded in securing an additional order worth 8 billion KRW related to Samsung Semiconductor, resulting in a significant increase in order performance compared to the previous year.

As of May this year, Hansung Cleantec's total order volume reached 89.3 billion KRW, a 67% surge compared to the 53.3 billion KRW recorded in the same period last year, and it has already achieved 88% of the previous year's total order performance of 101.2 billion KRW in the first half of the year. According to the company, the main factor behind this is the increasing orders related to Samsung Semiconductor.

In fact, Hansung Cleantec previously secured orders worth 37.9 billion KRW for Samsung Semiconductor-related wastewater treatment, PCW&GAS (Process Cooling Water & GAS), and HVAC (heating, ventilation, & air conditioning) DUCT construction projects.

A company official stated, "Due to the nature of the construction projects, the order amount will continue to be added and expanded, so the order amount in the second half of the year is expected to increase further."

It was also explained that the increasing overseas project orders contributed to this rapid growth in order amounts. Previously, Hansung Cleantec entered the Indonesian market by securing a seawater desalination plant contract worth 7.8 million USD (approximately 8.8 billion KRW) from HK (Hutama Karya), Indonesia's largest state-owned enterprise.

Through this, the overseas order performance, which was only 6.4 billion KRW last year, has already been surpassed. Since additional orders are being pursued in Southeast Asia and Europe, overseas expansion is also expected to contribute continuously to performance improvement.

Meanwhile, Hansung Cleantec, a comprehensive water treatment specialist essential for semiconductor and display processes, is expected to have its order performance reflected in E&C Corporation's consolidated results starting from the second quarter of this year.
